clients and under the Companies Ordinance of 1930.
Sorek

the necessary requirements. The Capital of the Company can be
designated in any currency.
Company
Formation – A Quick and Economical Service
Gibraltar
law is based on English law. The procedure for Company formation is
basically taken from the English 1929 Companies Act. The average time
taken to complete all formalities is three days. Sorek Services offers
a comprehensive service at a competitive cost.
'Off
the Shelf' Companies
Sorek
Services always has a number of untraded, ready-made Companies
available.
Confidentiality
All
officers involved in the official duty of the administration of the
Ordinance are bound to secrecy regarding all aspects of tax-exempt
companies in so far as the non-disclosure of the names of the
beneficial owner/s is concerned.
Offshore
Banking
Gibraltar
is popular for offshore banking. Sorek Services has contact with a
number of Offshore Banks and can assist clients in the setting up of
investments and trusts which are entirely free from any local or other
taxation. There are no exchange control regulations in Gibraltar.
Merchant
Ship Registration
Ships
registration in Gibraltar is governed by the Gibraltar Shipping
Ordinance (similar to the UK Merchant Shipping Act 1994). The main
categories of ships registered in Gibraltar are Passenger, Container
Vessels, General Cargo Vessels and Product Carriers. These vessels
must be approved by one of the six major Classification Societies
approved by the Government of Gibraltar.
Vessels
over twenty years old require a 'pre-flagging-in' condition survey
prior to their being considered for registration.
Vessels
may be registered either on 'Bareboat Charter' or on a permanent
basis.
